Joseph is here!

Sorry for the delay in posting! Our internet connection has been down since April 16th and was finally restored yesterday!

Our son Joseph was born on April 20, 2006 at 10:46 pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 11 ozs and was 20 3/4 inches long.

Both mom and baby are home from the hospital and doing well.

We are very thankful for the safe arrival and delivery of our son after everything that we have gone through. We are truly praising the Lord for this wonderful event

April 20th is the date

Well, this has been an exciting week. We have had two Dr appointments and on Tuesday we found out that my wife is going to be induced on Thursday, April 20th. We are excited, nervous, and scared all wrapped into one!

We initially thought that Joseph would go as close to full-term as possible, but the Dr wants him to get out of the womb because they are afraid of possible complications if they leave him in there to full-term because of the effects on the placenta from the laser procedure.

Both sets of grandparents will be here and we are hoping and praying that everything will go smoothly. Joseph could either come home with us or could stay in the hospital a week or two weeks depending on how he is doing once he is born.

Some once said, "Nothing will change your life like the birth of your first child" This was not meant in a bad way but in a good sense.
