Walking is not far off

As you can see from the picture, Joseph is now pulling himself up and standing while holding on to things. He started doing this about two weeks ago. Once he starts walking, look out world!

Newly found freedom

Joseph is now crawling and he loves his newly found freedom. He is very curious and gets around pretty good. Mom and Dad are learning patience as we attempt to train him not to get into certain things or touch things that he shouldn't. We already have all of the outlets covered and the apartment complex is working on getting us some cabinet locks for the kitchen.

So far, Joseph is doing well and is enjoying all of his stuff from his birthday....

Next step will be walking and then we will really be busy!

Happy 1st Birthday Joseph

Yesterday, along with family and a few friends we celebrated Joseph's 1st Birthday. It was a very happy occasion for everyone and bittersweet for me and my sister as we reflected and remembered our mother who passed away September 20th. We know how much she loved her grandson!

Here are some pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Joseph did have fun with the small cake we bought him, and we did take it away after a few minutes! But the pictures are priceless!

Almost ten months old

Joseph is almost ten months old. He went to the Dr on Monday and he weighs 24 lbs which is in the 75% percentile for his age and he is 31 inches long which is off the charts for his age group, which means, we are going to have one tall boy. The Dr also said that he is ahead in his language development.

He is also developing a personality as well. He is a very happy boy and laughs a lot, smiles, etc.

With these milestones, it is also a reminder that it has been five months since we lost my mother. I wish she could be here to enjoy Joseph!
